Artificial intelligence and radiology
Radiology is branch of medicine which needs a lot of influence of modern technology such as communication systems (PACS), speech recognition, big data or picture archiving. However, radiologists are hyped about introducing artificial intelligence into their workplaces, to do not stay behind other businesses. Firstly, they are hoping that AI can save a large amount of their time or even take over of their responsibilities. This kind of technology is treated as a saviour, not a negative thing as many of people thinks. In the United States of America, radiologists are over loaded with work, their datasets are becoming larger and larger and it is not only about number of images but also their multi-spectral structure and elaboration. According to my research radiology is about ten years behind other corporations, otherwise things are in industries that adopted this innovative technology such as Amazon, Google or even Apple. It is important to improve medicine business in coming years, otherwise our household items would be more intelligent than PACS or other medicine tools. In my opinion radiologists are right to demand more funds for improving their workplace, this would be better for everyone of us. Collaboration between humand and a machine is key for making our lives easier (Chang, 2018).
